Day 15 - January 23, 2012

They were the best of days, they were the worst of days.  Thanks to last nights storms (IN JANUARY), our trampoline has seen its last day.  Thank goodness we weren't home or it would have been sitting on top of one of our cars!

Day 14 - January 22, 2012

Just because I love catching the kids talking when they don't know we're looking. This is Ayla with two of her best friends from school.

Day 13 - January 21, 2012

Taken with my iPhone....I love the black against the blue sky with the sun shining through.  It looked pretty ominous, but it was just wind.

Day 12 - January 20, 2012

Isaac's 1st basketball game this year.  Somehow, he has really improved.  He made about 8 baskets and we only had to tell him to get up about 2 times.  For those of you who know him, that's really good.  I think we may have found his thing, but it's still early.

Day 11 - January 19, 2012

Skylanders!  Isaac new wii obsession.  It's actually pretty cool.  His mission is to collect them all and he's getting pretty close.  He loves his wii and playing video games, but he also loves to get outside and play. He keeps asking us to watch tv in his room so that he can play wii on the big tv.  HA!

Day 10 - January 18, 2012

I actually didn't take a picture on Day 10, so I'm entering this one.  Ayla and Isaac both had their first games on the same night.  I did NOT push her to do cheerleading, and I don't love it, but she wanted to do it.  She loves it. I guess we'll see where this road takes us.

Day 9 - January 17, 2012

Bantu knots!  This is another method we've tried to get curls in Ayla's hair....she'll suffer through anything for this.  As long as they get all the way dry, they make pretty curls.  She likes them a little better than the sock method because it adds more "wavy curls."  The things we do for our kids...

Day 8 - January 16, 2012

Another iPhone pic.....I forgot my camera on this trip.  However, on the way home, we stopped in Lexington, KY at the Parkette Drive In which was featured and Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.  Yummy!

Day 7 - January 15, 2012

Taken with my Mother-in-law's Canon t2i. She made us all hot chocolate after being out in the snow. It was the first time the kids got to go sledding this winter.  I love a good cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows.

Day 6 - January 14, 2012

This photo was taken with my iPhone as well, but I actually love it. It is an old mill in the small town my husband grew up in.  I've always loved it. We pass it every time we visit.

Day 5 - January 13, 2012

This photo was taken with my iPhone (obviously), but it does chronicle Ayla's new obsession with hair extensions and her longtime obsession with posing.  That's all I have for today :/

Day 4

Two pictures for today :)  I wish I could've gotten a better picture of the kids playing on the trampoline, but the netting got in the way.  I still like this one though.  The second picture is classic Ayla.  That would be two skirts she is wearing (one as a shirt).  This was her 4th wardrobe change of the day.  I have to chronicle that because it's been happening every day lately.  What a mess!

Day 3

Pinterest is one of my new loves.  At school, I'm always looking for new ways to help the kids I work with.  Right now that would be helping several of them learn their multiplication tables.  A friend mentioned this to me and I found it on Pinterest.  I happen to think it's really neat.

Day 2

I'm really surprised that it took so long for this to happen.  Cheerleading is NOT my thing and definitely not my first pick for my daughter.  However, she loves it and I'm trying to let her be who she is and not who I want her to be.  So....here's to cheerleading....may there be enough wine in Hardin County to get me through this.

Day 1

We'll start the year off with my daughter's quest for curls.  The first time I tried it, I got her hair too wet and she cried the next morning when it didn't work.  This time, I got it right.  I love that she is letting me experiment with her hair.  Now if I could just get the cascade braid right!
